• Coordinating the process for a request for qualifications or request for proposals for housing projects

Support is one of the critical components of achieving housing goals. To that end, Housing North leads coordination meetings and facilitates with stakeholders to identify partners, funds, and opportunities for support with activities like:

• Facilitating community meetings

• Community Mapping

• Work sessions with developers, employers, State agencies and partners

• Housing Public Engagement

A Housing Action Plan aims to assess needs, identify development constraints and limitations in the community, assess local implementation capacity, and identify community housing goals and strategies to address housing needs. Depending on the needs of your community, Housing North assists in:

• Identifying priority housing needs and current housing stock

• Facilitating community education on the issues through forums, community visioning sessions, interviews, and focus groups on housing needs and opportunities

• Conducting an inventory of properties/land potentially suitable for housing placement

• Identification and establishment of available resources, funding opportunities

• Implementation plan based on goals, identified resources, and existing capacity
