Christal Frost Anderson, MC
Christal Frost Anderson brings a unique blend of communications expertise, prevention advocacy, and community leadership to her role as Master of Ceremonies. With more than two decades of experience in broadcasting, public relations, and community engagement, Christal has used her voice to inform, inspire, and connect people across Northern Michigan.
Her career began in communications and public relations, later expanding into primary prevention efforts for child sexual abuse—where she championed education and awareness to protect the most vulnerable. Today, Christal works for Networks Northwest, serving as Regional Director of Offender Success Reentry in our ten-county region, with a focus on helping returning citizens rebuild their lives through housing, employment, and community support.
In addition to her nonprofit and prevention work, Christal is a familiar voice on Z93 as an afternoon radio announcer and the host of two locally focused podcasts: Currently with Christal Frost, a weekly news roundup with area journalists, and Currently: The Conversation, a long-form interview series diving deeper into the people, places, and passions that make Northern Michigan such a remarkable place to call home. With her deep roots in communication and her commitment to building safer, stronger, and more inclusive communities, Christal embodies the mission of “Housing for All”—ensuring every voice is heard and every story has a place.
