Susan has facilitated hundreds of traditional brownfield development and housing TIF projects in Michigan. She joined Fishbeck in January 2020 as a senior brownfield specialist after working 30 years at the EGLE Brownfield Redevelopment Unit. Susan was part of the original team that created EGLE’s brownfield redevelopment and waterfront redevelopment programs. She managed grants, loans, and Act 381 work plan approvals, and developed statutory language, policy, procedures, applications, and guidance documents. At Fishbeck, Susan works with brownfield authorities and developers to thoughtfully and strategically incentivize housing and commercial development with tax increment financing and tax abatements. Susan is also an experienced and successful speaker and grant writer.
