Carolyn Andrews, AKBD

Carolyn Andrews is the Construction Technology Program Coordinator at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Michigan. In this role, she oversees programs in Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC/R, and Plumbing. Carolyn brings over a decade of professional experience in interior design, where she specialized in kitchen and bath design.

She holds a B.A.A. in Interior Design and Construction Management from Central Michigan University and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Learning, Design and Technology at the same institution. Carolyn is a certified Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) through the National Kitchen and Bath Association and has served on the Board of Directors for both the Home Builders Association and the Northern Michigan Chapter of the NKBA. She also helped establish a local charter for the Professional Women in Building.

Passionate about innovation in the skilled trades, Carolyn enjoys exploring new technologies and hands-on learning opportunities. Most recently, she acquired a 3D concrete printer with support from the college foundation to expand student access to emerging construction technologies.
